The flowers are typically at their best between around the Golden Week holiday—between mid-April and early May. However, peak season may vary slightly depending on the weather each year. We’ll post the flower forecast on Facebook in early April, so be sure to check our page before planning your visit.
■Can we bring a picnic lunch to the park?
Yes. You are welcome to bring food and drinks into the park. Benches and other seating are scattered around the park, but we cannot guarantee that there will be enough for everyone during peak times. If you plan to have a picnic, be sure to bring a tarp or blanket with you. We also have snacks and drinks available for purchase inside the park.
■Is the park wheelchair accessible?
We welcome guests in wheelchairs to enjoy the park. Please note, however, that there is no pavement anywhere on the grounds in order to protect the trees and the traditional look of the garden. We apologize for any difficulties this may cause in getting around easily. Note that there is also a handicap-accessible restroom on site.
■Can we take pictures in the park?
Yes. Just be considerate of others and make sure you are not disturbing other guests (for example, by setting up tripods and leaving them out for long periods of time).
We are not allowed to shoot with cosplay.
■Can we bring pets to the park?
We’re sorry, but pets are not allowed in the park, even if they are in cages.
■Is there parking available?
Yes. We have handicapped parking available next to the entrance, and general parking is available about 200 meters away in a shared lot with the Gopla Kasukabe pachinko parlor. Note that the parking lot can fill up on Sundays, holidays, and during peak viewing times, so we encourage you to use public transportation if possible.
Wisteria information
■We have wisteria at our house, but it doesn’t produce flowers. How can we get it to bloom?
We have many guests ask us this question, but unfortunately we can’t give a definite answer without seeing the plant. Please consult with a local gardening or landscaping company.
■Do you sell wisteria seedlings?
We are sorry, but we do not have seedlings available for purchase.
